What we are looking for:
Electronic Technicians
- Completion of PMEL/TMDE Training or 8 years of OJT/experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in electronic calibrations
- RF experience desired
- Experience working under a ISO 9000 or ISO 17025 quality plan
- MetCal / Metrack experience preferred
- A solid knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Must possess a valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Hard Gauge Technicians
- Completion of PMEL/TMDE Training or 8 years of OJT/experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in 68 degree room hard gauge
calibrations
- Experience working under a ISO 9000 or ISO 17025 quality plan
- A solid knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Hand Tool Repair / Calibration Technicians
- Completion of PMEL/TMDE Training or OJT/experience is a plus
- No experience necessary, we will provide OJT if qualified
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Must possess a valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to learn quickly and have a good mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds

We are looking for self-motivated technicians who will provide calibration, troubleshooting and repairs for test and measurement equipment in both manufacturing and research environments. Other duties include creating calibration procedures, selecting test and measurement equipment, and entering documentation into computer systems. May require travel outside of Minnesota up to 10% of time.

Senior Physical / Measurement
Calibration Technician
(Requisition #63734 - Minneapolis, Minnesota)

This position requires at least 2 years' Technical School training in Metrology and Physical/Dimensional or equivalent military PMEL training, plus at least 5 years' technician experience in metrology and physical/dimensional. ASQ Certified Calibration Technician rating is a plus. Perform calibrations and measurements traceable to the International System of Units (SI) using appropriate reference standards. Test and measurement equipment range from general-purpose physical and dimensional to custom-built sterilizer systems. Must be familiar with data acquisition and validation equipment, i.e. process control equipment / controllers, chart recorders, DC Analog / Signal Conditioners, and varied transducers. Disciplines comprise: Mass, Temperature, Humidity, Vacuum, Length, Optics, Pressure, Dimensional Metrology, Force, and Flow. Working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, sterilization systems, and cGMP/ISO requirements is a plus.

Job Description: Electrical Calibration Technician

1. Performs electrical calibrations in the laboratory and in the field.

2. Maintains all company owned electrical equipment and standards.

3. Develops new calibration procedures, or adapts industry standards for use.

4. Coordinates with customers and suppliers in matters relating to electrical calibrations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Three years experience as an Electrical Calibration Technician.

2. Military PMEL training desired.

3. Ability to work with little or no supervision.

4. Above average people skills, with ability to interact with customers as needed.

5. Willingness to cross train in physical / dimensional calibration.

6. Willingness to assume responsibilities as required, and make decisions as appropriate.

JOB DESCRIPTION

JDSU located in Germantown, Maryland has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Metrology Technician who wants to join a fast pace environment. Some of your primary responsibilities are:
� Calibration of all OEM equipment (i.e. Tektronics, HP, Agilent, Fluke) delivered both in the factory and at the customer's site.
� Developing and maintaining calibration certificates.
� Maintaining other documentation and databases as required by metrology and quality systems.
� Developing knowledge of JDSU�s products and calibration processes.
� Performing final test and calibration on services units.
� Ensuring all work is meeting ISO quality standards.
� Working closely with customers and other departments in order to deliver timely and quality service.
Some travel required. All business related travel expenses will be reimbursed.

To qualify for this position you need to possess the following qualifications:

� 2 years experience calibrating various types of telecommunications and general test equipment.
� Strong communication skills � verbal and written.
� Capable of reading and utilizing assembly drawings, rework instructions and procedures, and using general assembly tools and equipment
� Basic mechanical aptitude including ability to read and interpret dimensions, tolerances and assembly notes.
� Ability to perform automated tests using written test procedures.

1. We currently have an immediate opportunity for an Outside Sales Representative/Account Manager in the Washington DC area.

This individual will be responsible for the creation and implementation of an effective business development strategy with potential new and existing accounts within Washington DC to maximize SIMCO�s market penetration in the assigned territory. The responsibilities of the Account Manager will be:

� Develop new technical service and SaaS service accounts with limited direct supervision.

� Manage contract negotiations and renewals with existing customers.

� Interface with SIMCO sales management and other SIMCO departments on a regular basis to assist with strategic, tactical and regular administrative projects.

� Utilize company contact and data management software to optimize information collection and management reporting.

� Travel and attend scheduled laboratory, sales and company meetings, conferences and training sessions.

� Regular communication to sales management of sales forecasts, budgets, action plans and competitive analysis.

� Coordinate and meet regularly with local lab management to ensure seamless operations between sales and other departments and to facilitate superior customer service and new customer development.

The ideal candidate will be an independent, self-starter with a minimum of 4 years of outside sales and account management experience and will be able to meet the position�s objectives with limited direct supervision. The leading candidate will hold a Bachelor�s Degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality, marketing or business. Candidates with a strong background in high technology sales, service contract sales and experience in the semiconductor, electronic component, or computing markets will be given favorable consideration. Those holding degrees in other areas, but with significant experience in the aforementioned markets, may also be considered. The ideal candidate will also be proficient in the use of MS Office Suite. Occasional air travel and overnight stays will be required. Both written and verbal communication skills are extremely important.

2. We currently have opportunities for a RF Calibration and Repair Technicians at our facilities throughout the U.S.

The ideal candidate will be able to perform routine and complex work related to the calibration of electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical test and measurement equipment. The successful candidate will provide field maintenance on equipment, when required, using calibration procedures and measurement systems on customer equipment in compliance with requirements.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

� Completed Military PMEL/TMDE/GPETE course

� A minimum of 5 years calibration experience

� RF/Microwave experience required

� Automated calibration experience preferred

� Experienced in A2LA or NVLAP audits

� Experienced in calculation of uncertainty budgets

� Basic Electronics and Computer Skills (ASQ CCT recommended)

� Good communication skills both verbal and written

� Valid D.L. required and a clean driving record

3. We currently have an immediate opportunity for an Electronic Calibration Technician at our Redmond, Washington Lab.

The Electronic Calibration Technician will perform calibrations of Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment used in the Life Sciences, RF/Telecommunications, and Semiconductor/Electronic Components markets. The Electronic Calibration Technician may also repair Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment down to component level.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

� TMDE/PMEL certified or Associates degree in Electrical Technologies
� Minimum of 5 years Calibration experience
� Strong knowledge of electronic circuit theory
� Power and hand tools
� Must be able to life up to 65 pounds without assistance; occasional standing and bending required.

4. We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Mechanical Calibration Technician at our facility in Minneapolis, MN.

The Mechanical Calibration Technician will perform mechanical calibrations and/or repairs on general hand tools, pipettes, CMM�s and linear measuring devices.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

� TMDE/PMEL certified or Associates degree in Mechanical Technologies

� Minimum of 3 years Calibration or testing experience

� Power and hand tools

� Must be able to life up to 65 pounds without assistance; occasional standing and bending required.
